Another spring break at home. Somethings never change. Like my basketball skills.

But that's all about to change. Let me guide you through why:
1. New basketball shoes (And 1's. Bring on the fouls, baby).
2. I've forced myself to use my left hand -- shooting percentages have gone down dramatically, but I have developed a wicked crossover.
3. I've been practicing my around-the-back layup all afternoon. I'm basically a white John Wall.
4. I've acquired a fantastic basketball mentor, check him out. He makes my apples taste so mealy.

Today marks the one year anniversary of my beloved secret life. Thanks for all the kind words, presents, and congratulations! Assholes. You want to see me fail, is that it? You know what, it's okay, I can see why you'd be frustrated with me. Let's pretend I didn't take a month to post this update, and I'll forget you are self-absorbed narcissists :)

Drink Water... Only If You Want To

Just whipped up a short video chronicling the creation of the new uh... study table... for our house. And when I say whipped up, I mean it's taken me almost a month to get it online because the video wasn't previously working correctly on vimeo, but alas, without further ado, I present to you, for your enjoyment, a SLOS exclusive video.

Believe it or not, this took almost two weeks to complete. Although, in my defense, I'm a procrastinating, unmotivated perfectionist.

If your daughter is ever kidnapped, drugged up and sold into prostitution, you better hope your dad is a retired government "preventer" whose set of skills include the ability to knock out anyone and everyone that gets in his way. It'd be a plus if he was also able to shoot up a whole house full of thugs with guns. Granted, most of them were shot in the back while hurrying like idiots down the stairs, but it was still impressive.

It's also good to finally know there's a legitimate use for a car's slapstick, just start from minute 79:55 of the movie. I think he was trying to slow down? In any case... it was badass.

In all seriousness, I really hope more movies like this are made. It's deceptively short and to the point. I couldn't imagine how he would make it out of certain jams, much less resolve the conflict in under 8 minutes remaining of the movie from that 79:55 car scene. You want action? You get action. And I got action. lol

POST EDIT: Just watched Iron Man...I have two gripes. Basically infinite power from a small source in your chest? Personified intelligent 'butler' computer system named Jarvis and 'pet' robots in his workshop? Oh, and did you really have to cast Samuel L Jackson? Such a promising sequel, now ruined for me :(

So, Ive just finished watching all the Jake & Amir sketches on Collegehumor...they're hilarious, stop whatever you're doing right now and check them out. Here's a guy who dances all over the world, collegehumor danced with him on their last video in the All Nighter '09...because they were too lazy to make something else up.
