Remember that time OSU came to town? Remember that time we went to Iowa City? Next up: Boiler Up! Boiler Up! Boiler Up! I wish my team's mascot was a something cool like a train. Surely there is room in the Big Ten for two Victorian-era railroad locomotives, yes? Fine, how about something invented in 1848? Get on your feet fans, it's time for some Wisconsin Dental Chair's football! I'm kidding of course, I think it's completely appropriate to name your mascot after something your school excels in, Engineering in Purdue's case. In Wisconsin's case... I'd say we have a pretty good engineering school too, but here we are again with similar motives. I guess we'll be the bigger man and claim something else... beer.
I actually like this video, looks like they have some pretty cool traditions.
The summer months have given me more time to enjoy video games, namely Team Fortress 2. It's been a while since I've played regularly, and a lot has changed. I was messing around with the built-in recorder and came up with some footage.
This video took me much longer than I expected, here's why: 1. The old version of windows movie maker (which I was used to) rendered the final project to look like this. 2. The newer windows live movie maker has even fewer video FX features than before, so I couldn't do everything I wanted, like speeding up or slowing down a section (but it did render correctly). 3. Almost every free video editor on the internet sucks. 4. When I did find a free editor that I thought would work, it put an awesome watermark over the final video for one minute. 5. I finally finished using the trial version of Sony Vegas 9. It only costs $600, so if you need a birthday idea...
It has come to my attention that visitors may be looking for The Secret Life of Sofia, a band from Brooklyn. If that's the case, head on over to their blog, or to their MySpace page. Sorry for the confusion, keep up the good work guys!
Updates (Advanced Technology): Here at SLOS, I strive to implement state of the art (and not so state of the art, but dependable) tools to give you a smoother experience with my posts. That being said, pictures/links to pictures open in browser, then click anywhere to close picture. Also, to the best of my knowledge, most links open in a new tab.
As much as I like and use NoScript, it's not needed here. Nothing autoplays, there are no ads, it will just be a hassle unblocking all the media :)
